Frequently Asked Questions

Where is your office located?

I currently see therapy clients living in Virginia virtually through telehealth.

I’ll be serving clients in Maryland and DC soon!

I don’t live in Virginia. Can we still work together?

I am licensed in Virginia, so I only provide traditional counseling services to Virginia residents.

However, coaching services are available to anyone, regardless of location.

As a life coach, I have clients around the country. If you have access to the Internet and are ready for change… reach out, and we’ll schedule your free consultation.

Do you accept insurance?

On occasion, I have a set number of insurance clients for underserved populations, but I’m not accepting insurance at this time.

However, in my experience, you receive better care when you don’t use insurance because they tend to dictate the terms and duration of your treatment.

How much does a session cost?
Session fees vary. Contact me for details.
Do you offer any packages or bundles?
Yes! Contact me for details.
How do I pay?
When completing your initial paperwork online, you’ll select a form of payment to keep on file as you schedule your first appointment.
What is your cancellation policy?
I understand life happens and we’ll need to make adjustments, but please cancel sessions 24 hours in advance to avoid receiving a charge for the full session. I will not charge you for missed sessions beyond your control.
How do I set up an initial appointment?

What age ranges do you work with?
I primarily work with adults (ages 25 and up).
What is coaching?

Coaching is a collaborative process that empowers you to clarify your goals, develop strategies, and take action to improve your life. Coaching can be a powerful tool if you’re seeking help navigating life’s challenges.

Whether you’re struggling with anxiety or depression, seeking meaningful relationships, looking to advance your career, or working to strengthen your partnership as a couple, as your coach, I’ll provide the support and guidance you need.

Do you work with people from diverse backgrounds, ethnicities, and religions?

Absolutely! My clients come from a wide range of backgrounds, ethnicities, and religions. I am dedicated to understanding and respecting the unique experiences and perspectives of all those I serve.

I am committed to providing safe, culturally sensitive care to all my clients. Everyone, regardless of race, ethnicity, or religion, deserves empathy, compassion, support, and encouragement as they navigate life’s challenges.

What modalities do you use?

I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. We’ll use whatever suits your personality and helps you address your challenges.

That said, my foundations of therapy are rooted in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I’ve found these theoretical orientations helpful for individuals with anxiety, depression, and PTSD who are struggling with emotional regulation, interpersonal relationships, and acceptance.

I primarily use Gottman Method principles for couples.

How long can I expect to work with you?

You are in the driver’s seat of therapy, so we’ll take as long as needed to reach your desired outcomes.

Therapy often brings up concerns that may not have been at the forefront of your mind when you started, so I’ll check in with you regularly to assess your progress and needs.

My goal is for you to feel peaceful and confident by the time you finish therapy.
